zero2hero Day is an annual event that provides young people with a space to communicate about mental health and reach out for support if it’s needed.
Schools may host this event on any day.
The day aims to encourage open communication and reduce the social stigma around the potential effects of mental illnesses and issues including bullying, anxiety, bipolar, personality disorders, depression and self-harm, which could lead to suicide.
Through healthy conversation about these issues, teachers and students are provided with knowledge of how to recognise and understand the symptoms, and zero2hero also provides helpful tools and contact information of third-party providers, such as Youth Focus, Lifeline, headspace, and HelpingMinds, who can offer specific support.
