Trekkers raise more than $200,000 to prevent youth suicide

Young Australians are more likely to take their own life than die in motor vehicle accidents. However, 60 corporates recently embarked on a 5 day trek to prevent this.

The cape2cape trek raises vital funds to support our mental health programs for young people. The event sees participants trek 135 kms over 5 days from Cape Leeuwin Lighthouse to Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse in the South West of Western Australia.

Many of the participants who took part have been touched by mental illness or suicide, with one Trekker, who lost a child to suicide, is committed to preventing other parents from experiencing the same loss.

This was our 5th annual cape2cape Trek, and this year we are expecting to see double the Trekkers taking part. Each participant covered their own event cost, meaning 100% of the $200k they raised will support youth mental health.
