I wanted to come to Camp Hero as I myself had a very challenging childhood. I remember how tough the world can seem at that age and I wanted to be able to show the young leaders that even during the tough times, the world is in-fact an amazing place with amazing people.
It was incredible to see how resilient and determined the students on camp were and unsuspectingly, I walked away feeling like I had been taken on a similar journey. Camp truly is an incredible experience for the students and mentors, and I have walked away with some incredible friends. It is something I really do recommend for everyone.
