Challenging myself both physically and mentally during my time as a Camp Hero mentor pushed me outside so many comfort zones. Facing my fear of abseiling was a huge accomplishment, which I would not have achieved without the support of my co-mentors and the students who all rallied around me.
I walk away from mentoring with new found awareness and acceptance of myself. I know what changes I need to make in my life to be a better version of me, and even at my age, how completely okay it is to be vulnerable and ask for help. Thank you to zero2hero for this opportunity and a heartfelt thanks to the students who will be the most amazing advocates for change.
