Founded by community hero Goran Utjesinovic, The Big Dig challenges teams to dig a 1-metre deep trench continuously for 24 hours – pushing limits, racing against each other, and raising vital funds for youth mental health.
Last year’s The Big Dig truly took things to another level, proof that when you dig deep, you can move mountains (…or at least a lot of sand)!
More than 150 diggers across 23 teams moved over 1,700 tonnes of sand over 24 hours, and together raised an incredible $166,000 for youth mental health.
Since 2023, Goran Utjesinovic has been a true hero of zero2hero, bringing this wild idea to life and helping raise more than $370,000 over three years. That kind of year over year dedication genuinely changes lives.
