I have been involved with zero2hero for multiple years. Having lived through my own mental health challenges, I look back and realise how much pressure we are under as teenagers to make life-defining choices. You’re constantly trying to meet the expectations of other people as you navigate school, friendship groups, and career choices, and it can be very challenging.
What inspired me to be a mentor on Camp Hero was the opportunity to share some of my own lived experiences and to support our youth in learning who they are, how to live by their values, and how to navigate the challenges of life. Sharing that journey with them is a privilege like no other.
