zero2hero chosen as the charity partner for Nanga Challenge 2020

Hosted by the Ascot Kayak Club, the 2020 Nanga Challenge is a multi-sport adventure race with a focus on fun and challenge. This year The Nanga Challenge chose for all funds raised to be donated to zero2hero to help support our programs.

Held in Dwellingup on 12th September, The Nanga Challenge will host hundreds of competitors including previous Australian Survivor contestant, Locklan ‘Locky’ Gilbert. Locky is an extreme sportsman and a successful Adventure Guide Operator and is excited to help raise crucial funds through his participation.

“This will be my first ever adventure race and I can’t wait for it. The fact it will also help zero2hero is a huge plus” Locky said.

zero2hero CEO, Ashlee Harrison said “This is an exciting new partnership that we are thrilled to be a part of. The Ascot Kayak Club run an amazing event and we look forward to seeing Locky Gilbert and many other athletes compete. The funds raised through this event will provide crucial support in a very challenging year, allowing us to continue delivering mental health and wellbeing programs to thousands of young Western Australians. Additionally, Nanga has a very special place in our hearts at zero2hero. This is where we have connected with thousands of young people through our camp programs, making the event that much more special to us.”

Participants can choose to compete in either the ‘Nice’ course – a 9km paddle, 20km ride and 10km run, or the ‘Nasty’ course – a 15km paddle, 30km ride and 12km run.
